Sturdy fusca! I can go anywhere in this car! And I do....
Exhibit A: yesterday, Km 8 Acaray. On the road as chauffeur for Zayda, working as "debt collector"
Exhibit B: Beautiful view of the Acaray river!Exhibit C: Today, on the road with Patricia for "capacity-building" workshops. Rain.
Exhibit D: Nearly got the fusca stuck! Slurpy, sticky red mud everywhere. Forgot to buy a newspaper to put down on the floor. Damn!
Exhibit E: Fusca died a whimpering, hiccuping, spluttering death at km 4. At least we were back in the city and could take a bus home. In the ICU with the mechanic...come on fusca, don't quit on me now! The mud-spatters look a bit like tears...
***Addendum: the fusca is back on its feet. It got towed to the mechanic using a rope to lash it to the bumper of another vehicle. Gs. 150,000 ($30 USD) in parts and labor, it's humming right along. And desperately needs a bath. Project for the weekend....
